The Perú por los ODS recognition at Cumbre Perú Sostenible 2026

The Perú por los ODS (Peru for the SDGs) recognition is promoted by Perú Sostenible together with KPMG, the United Nations System in Peru and El Comercio. Each year, it highlights projects that contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals and assesses them across five pillars: People, Planet, Prosperity, Peace and Partnership.

The award ceremony was part of Cumbre Perú Sostenible 2026, held from 24 to 26 September. This edition received 155 applications, of which 40 initiatives reached the finalist stage. For this reason, being among them in two pillars is a result we value highly.

Partnership: partnerships for the goals (SDG 17)

In the Partnership pillar, the jury recognised the multi-stakeholder partnerships that PEI Peru promotes, linked to SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals.

This work builds on collaboration with the Ministry of Production (PRODUCE), the programme’s national counterpart, as well as with companies, industrial park operators, institutions and other stakeholders who share the goal of a more sustainable industry.

Prosperity: industry, innovation and infrastructure (SDG 9)

In the Prosperity pillar, the jury highlighted PEI Peru’s contribution to a more sustainable, innovative and competitive industry, aligned with SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure.

This contribution is reflected in the support provided to industrial parks moving towards the Eco-Industrial Park model, with improvements in efficiency, resource management and collaboration between companies.

A shared achievement

We proudly celebrate this recognition, which reflects our work to strengthen the sustainability and competitiveness of industrial parks, fostering collaboration between companies, institutions and a wide range of stakeholders.

Being a finalist of the Perú por los ODS 2026 recognition is also an achievement shared with everyone who supports us along the way. It also motivates us to keep building partnerships for an industry that creates economic, environmental and social value.

PEI Peru is implemented by UNIDO with the support of the Embassy of Switzerland, through its Economic Cooperation, as part of the Global Eco-Industrial Parks Programme (GEIPP).
